“What’s Gestating In Your Mind?”

IMG_2517

I ran across the word gestating in an article I was reading. I never heard it being used in relation to the mind so I was prompted to look it up. Gestate means to carry in the uterus during pregnancy. Ok I thought, that’s where I’d heard it before. However, it also means to conceive and gradually develop in the mind. Wow! I thought. What a great analogy to use in reference to the conception and development of both body and mind. The food we ingest during pregnancy contributes to the unborn child’s physical development. In the same way, our thoughts feed our mind slowly, one thought building upon another. Eventually they both become too big to contain, and the need to come forth and express what they’ve become burst into being. Just as a new life is created so to do our thoughts create, and just as new life affects the world it comes into, so do our thoughts affect the world. So just as we wouldn’t feed the unborn child the kind of food that could harm it. We should be mindful of the thoughts we feed into our mind. In both cases what we feed our body and mind plays an important part in how we choose to live our life.

So, what’s gestating in your mind?

“Celebrating Of Life”

Who doesn’t want to wake up with the celebrated enthusiasm for life. I do! It truly is as easy as it sounds. However, the thing that makes it difficult is moving aside what stands in the way, and when we can’t move it, we need to find a way to rise above it.

When we are living within our own limited abilities as a humans, the ego state of mind, we often feel like the Whack-a-mole. What holds us up against that which knocks us down comes from a deeper connection within us. I call it our personal trinity, the mind, body and spirit. Some people will say that it is not me but the God within me that makes good things happen. This is true, but God also created us as humans with a mind all our own, and a personality to go along with it, and there is a purpose for all that makes up who we are. Our calling is to bring all the working parts God gave us together, and in partnership give to the world what only we can give.

Ego only wants to keep us in it’s grips. It tells us there is nothing else to see but the limited reality that’s in front of us. It’s always that which exist outside of us. Everything is connected. Just as Love works within all creation, we are called to be inter-connected with the same Love within us. In so doing we are able to reach out and extending that Love to one another. How beautiful to think the world could be if we lived within the means of our God given authenticity being the unique individual we were created to be.

Waking up each day remembering all that we have within us to work with . That trinity of mind, body and spirit all rolled up into one with no other intention but to extend the love from which we come. Now that’s a life worth celebrating everyday.

“Thoughful Prayers of Healing”

There is much to be said about the effect our thoughts have on every cell our body. So it’s important to pay attention to what we’re feeding it. We would never think to feed our bodies something toxic especially if we knew it would make us sick. Feeding our body healthy food gives us the energy we need to live a healthy life. Our thoughts are the same way if we feed it with negative thoughts. It has the same toxic effect on us. If our mind, and our body are unhealthy then it clogs the energy field in which our spirit flows through. So it’s good to give our mind and body a clean sweep once in a while. Getting rid of all the dead and unproductive cells makes room for new heathier ones to reproduce and heal.

Think of the power our prayers would have if would clear the way for the spirit to flow thorough our cells the way they were designed to be.cells of the body
