I don’t think we ever stop growing spiritually once we start down that path. However, sometimes trying to explain the profound insights that God gives us is like speaking another language. I think maybe that’s why Jesus used parables. Using an example people could corrlate it with brought it into view. For example I know what it feels like to be One with God, but this oneness that you can’t see is hard explain. Mark Nepo likens this oneness to the nautical definition of marry, “to join two ropes end to end by interweaving their strands.” He goes on to say, “that just as two ropes that are married create a tie that is twice as strong, when we marry our humanness to our spirit, we create a life that is double strong in the world.”*
I would add that when we interweave the self with spirit we become who we were created to be…our true selves.

About connieszone

I've come to know myself as a unique individual expression of God. I love that there is only one me in all the world. I'm still learning, growing and experiencing all the wonders that this life has to teach me. I live, move, and breath in this shell of a body God has given me, and together we travel. He see's, hears, taste, smells and touches all that I experience through the individual personality that I am. I believe He exist in each one of us for the same purpose. I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. I love to write and express the many thoughts that swim around in my head. I love to read. I'm a creative crafty kind of person. I love being in my garden. I've been working on my families genecology for 25 years. I think that about sums me up for now.
