A Pug and Jack Russell that’s how I came to be,
As the dog Angels created a”Jug”…like me,
They sprinkled gold dust upon my fawn fur,
And painted my mussel the color of night,
But my bug bulging eyes were a sight to see,
So they drew Cleopatra eyes upon me.
I was born a Jug, not a Pug or a Bug,
But I’d like to be loved and get lots of hugs.
One day two humans came to my hometown,
It was the women who followed me around.
She picked me up cradling me in the palms of her hands.
Then she held me up against her cheek humming into my ear.
It made me feel so good I lost my fear.
I licked at her cheeks, her ears, and her eyes
it made her giggle with a joyous surprise.
Then she looked in my eyes and said with a plea,
“Would you like to come home and live with me?”
It felt as if it was meant to be.
So she held me in her arms and carried me home.
Little did I know how strange she could be
till she whispered in my ear,
Ollie Ollie Oxen Free!
And Ollie dog is who I came to be.
I love my family we are a pack made of three,
And I understand them and as they understand me.
Welcome to Sunday’s with Ollie. If you have a an animal that you love with all your heart, and that animal loves you back just the same. Then you will appreciate the way Ollie is abel to communicate with his human family, the things he has to teach us and the trouble he often gets himself in.
